Area of ​​origin: Valtènesi, Soffaino hills in the area known as “Preafète”.

Grape variety: Groppello (prevalent%), native grape variety of Valtènesi, Marzemino, Barbera, Sangiovese.

Harvest: Manual harvest in small crates.

Production: It is called “the wine of one night” because historically, to obtain its characteristic pink color, it was left in contact with its skins for a night.

The vinification process for this wine begins at dawn, when the grapes are still wet from the morning breeze. After a rigorous selection, the grapes are gently placed in the press along with the stems and subjected to a pressing process called crémant, which extracts the heart of the berry. Additionally, a 3-4 hour cold maceration of the skins helps preserve the wine's subtle aromas and structure, limiting color extraction.

Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures, using indigenous yeasts to maximize the wine's natural aromas and finesse. After aging on the lees for approximately 5-6 months, the wine reaches its peak expression and is bottled, ready to express the full character and purity of its terroir.

Alcohol: 12.50%

Color: From petal pink to pale pink with salmon reflections.

Aroma: Fine, elegant, with hints of citrus including pink grapefruit, white flowers and nuances of white pepper.

Taste: Fresh, juicy, silky with a good flavour in balance with the perceived fruit.

Pairing: Excellent with first courses, white meats, lake fish and savory pies.

HISTORY OF WINE
Valtènesi Rosa, a new and more rigorous interpretation of an exclusive wine from the Brescian coast of Lake Garda, focused on the Groppello grape. An authentic local wine, born from an ancient vocation codified over a hundred years ago by Venetian Senator Pompeo Molmenti.

A few hours of contact between the must and the skins, followed by the ritual of racking at night. At that precise moment, guided by the mastery of the cellarman, the Valtènesi captures the freshness and temperament of the Groppello grapes, which define its character. It is a wine that embodies centuries-old tradition, the strength of a unique terroir, and the elegance of rosé winemaking.

TASTING NOTES
Pale pink in color with salmon highlights. The nose is remarkably fine and elegant, expressing notes of wild strawberry, berries, and pink grapefruit, with a finish of white flowers.
On the palate it is fresh, silky with a good flavour in balance with the perceived fruit.

Designed by artist Emanuele Soncina, it is a visual and sensorial journey that accompanies the wine experience even before tasting. At the center of the drawing, a stylized female profile emerges, delicate and simple. A symbol of grace, fertility, and harmony, she represents the archetypal figure of the woman who merges with nature.

Her hair transforms into soft, flowing waves , evoking the movement of Lake Garda's waters, a fundamental element that shapes the microclimate and elegance of our rosé wine. The waves intertwine with circular shapes reminiscent of the morainic pebbles of Valtènesi: ancient stones, silent witnesses to the geological history of this unique land, and a symbol of the wine's authentic, profound, mineral character.
